Birmingham International Airport is said to be the sixth biggest in the UK and seconds Manchester, excluding London airports, in the UK so it’s pretty busy.
Accessible from the M42 motorway and the A45 main road, it’s also connected to the Birmingham International rail station via an AirRail Link on the West Coast Main Line.
Get to the city centre
You can get here via Birmingham New Street station in the city centre at a cost of around £3 for a single. It’ll take you between 10 and 15 minutes. Keep abreast od changing time tables, delays and prices at www.nationalrail.co.uk.
Alternatively you can get a taxi from the city centre for around £35 and that’ll get you a saloon car that’ll carry up to 3 people plus luggage. That’s with the Birmingham Airport Taxi Service on 0121 320 409.
Alternatively you can travel by bus 900 from the airport to Coventry via Yardley, Swan, Sheldon, Meriden, Millisons Wood and Allesley. A daysaver fare will cost you £3 and the buses run every 15 minutes during peak times and every 30 minutes off peak.
