Best time to visit
The second largest city in England and a metropolis as well, Birmingham currently has a population of 1,016,800 as of 2008. Located in the West mid-lands of England, it boasts a combined population of 3,683,000 and by combined I mean with the collective population of neighboring towns as well. Affectionately known as the workshop of the world, it is a buzzing thriving powerhouse of business, culture and education. No wonder it is the fourth most popular city among foreign visitors in The UK. So when is the best time to visit Birmingham?

Best weather
Birmingham’s climate is what is known as a temperate maritime climate. The hottest temperatures are usually recorded in July/August and reach a maximum of 20 degrees Celsius. Comparatively, the lowest temperatures occur in January/February and can be as low as 40.1 degrees Fahrenheit. Harsh, extreme weather is uncharacteristic of Birmingham except for the isolated tornado, the most recent having occurred in July of 2005. Summers are becoming hotter as heat waves are beginning to occur more frequently and winters are becoming milder with less snowfall. While most of March and June are the driest months for the year, the wettest month is November with at least 17 days of rain falling for the month. It is, therefore, safe to conclude that the period from March through to June is the best time to visit Birmingham.
